for between 1851-54, with solid rifled 4 1/2in. five-shot barrel group, one of the false ribs signed 'LAWRENCE PAT 1849', another 'ROBBINS & LAWRENCE CO' and another 'WINDSOR VT', scroll engraving to the breech-end and action body, the radiused action with octagonal front section, the top with push button barrel release, the barrels hinging down for capping, ring trigger, saw-handled frame and smooth hardwood grips, slight traces of finish, together with a period English market oak storage case relined and re-compartmented for this pistol with green baize and also containing a reproduction flask, a period bullet mould and a number of loose shot
